   An act relating to senior services.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1462, as introduced, Feuer. Health and long-term care: frail
elderly.
   Existing law establishes programs, such as the Multipurpose Senior
Services Program, administered through the California Department of
Aging, to provide specified services to frail elderly individuals, as
defined.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to promote the development of community-based, capitated
health and long-term care programs for the frail elderly.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to promote the development of community-based, capitated
health and long-term care programs for the frail elderly.
