   An act to amend Section 102 of the Water Code, relating to water.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1482, as introduced, Anderson. Water: public use.
   Existing law declares that all water within the state is the
property of the people of the state, but the right to the use of the
water may be acquired by appropriation in the manner prescribed by
law.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 102 of the Water Code is amended to read:
   102.  All water within the  State   state
 is the property of the people of the  State 
 state  , but the right to the use of water may be acquired
by appropriation in the manner provided by law.
