relating to state parks.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1962, as introduced, Chesbro. State parks: Columbia Historic
State Park.
Existing law authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to
enter into a contract with a natural person, corporation,
partnership, or association, for construction, maintenance, and
operation of a concession within a unit of the state park system.
Existing law requires the department, at the request of the
concessionaire, to extend until January 1, 1984, the term of any
concession contract within Columbia Historic State Park.
This bill would repeal that obsolete provision with regard to a
concession contract within Columbia Historic State Park.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

section which expires before January 1, 1984, shall, at the request
of the concessionaire, be extended by the department until January 1,
1984.
