To the Members of the California State Assembly:

I am returning Assembly Bill 2007 without my signature.

I have consistently supported efforts to increase transparency in
regards to reporting requirements.  However, this bill is
unnecessary.  The information requested is already provided
electronically to the Secretary of State and hosted online at
www.sos.ca.gov.  Requiring the Fair Political Practices Commission to
extrapolate this information and host it on their website is
duplicative and costly.

Therefore, I am unable to sign this bill.
