To the Members of the California State Assembly:
I am returning Assembly Bill 2017 without my signature.
This bill is contingent on the enactment of Senate Bill 516, which I
cannot support.  I would ask that the authors of these bills
reconcile their efforts to support greater youth involvement in
public policy without creating additional organizations when there
are numerous organizations and entities already dedicated to working
with youth from all backgrounds.
