To the Members of the California State Assembly:

I am returning Assembly Bill 2616 without my signature.

As I stated in my veto message of similar legislation last year, I
support the intent of this bill; however, I cannot support mandating
additional costs in this time of fiscal crisis.  Nothing in current
law prohibits county elections officials from providing this
information and I would encourage them to do so as resources allow.

Therefore, I am unable to sign this bill.
