An act to amend Section 153 of the Business and Professions Code,
relating to the Department of Consumer Affairs.

AB 2667, as introduced, Hill. Department of Consumer Affairs.
Under existing law, the Department of Consumer Affairs is
comprised of various regulatory boards and is under the control of
the Director of Consumer Affairs. Existing law authorizes the
director to investigate the work of these boards and to obtain copies
of specified records and data in their possession.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive, technical change to that
provision.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 153 of the Business and Professions Code is
amended to read:
153. The director may investigate the work of the several boards
in his or her department and may obtain a copy of all
records and full and complete data in all official matters in
possession of the boards, their members, officers, or employees,
other than examination questions prior to submission to applicants at
scheduled examinations.
