To the Members of the California State Assembly:
I am returning Assembly Bill 2720 without my signature.
While my Administration shares the same goals as the author when it
comes to promoting healthy and affordable food access for low-income
communities in California, the Healthy Food Financing Initiative has
not yet been acted on by Congress.   Unless and until those important
federal funding details are known, this bill is both premature and
unnecessary.
