           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates as the "Marine Corporal Christopher D.  
          Leon Memorial Highway" that segment of State Route 14 between  
          Avenue M and Avenue L in the City of Lancaster (Los Angeles  
          County).

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  .  This measure honors Corporal Leon, who died on June  
          20, 2006 from injuries suffered in combat in the western  
          province of Al Anbar, Iraq.
