   An act to amend Section 201 of the Public Utilities Code, relating
to public utilities.

   SB 429, as introduced, Benoit. Public Utilities Act.
   The Public Utilities Act, among other things, imposes various
duties and responsibilities on the Public Utilities Commission.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to the
Public Utilities Act.

State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 201 of the Public Utilities Code is amended to
read:
   201.  This part  shall be known, and  may be cited  ,
 as the  "Public Utilities Act."   Public
Utilities Act.
