STAFF COMMENTS: This bill meets the criteria for referral to the
          Suspense file.

SB would require the Office of Environmental Health Hazard
Assessment to review cleaning products used in grocery stores to
evaluate any potential harm to the public, employees, or the
environment. The reviews are to take place within the 2010
calendar year. And a final report would have to be posted on its
website and provided to supermarkets whose cleaning products
have been reviewed by December 2011.

The bill requires supermarkets to provide the Office, upon
request, with a list of cleaning products used in the
supermarket. The bill also requires cleaning product
manufacturers to provide the Office with information on the
          ingredients of a cleaning product.

The cost to perform the reviews is uncertain. However, given the
large number of potential cleaning products to be evaluated, it
is likely that the office would need at least two full time
          positions to perform the reviews.
