An act relating to coastal resources.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 650, as introduced, Yee. Coastal resources: City of Half Moon
Bay.
The California Coastal Act of 1976 requires any person undertaking
development in the coastal zone to obtain a coastal development
permit in accordance with prescribed procedures.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to assist the City of Half Moon Bay relating to its
settlement agreement of an action involving certain property in the
coastal zone.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Legislature intends to enact legislation to assist
the City of Half Moon Bay relating to its settlement agreement in the
case of Yamagiwa v. City of Half Moon Bay (N.D. Cal. 2007) 523 F.
Supp.2d 1036, involving certain property known as the Beachwood
Property in the City of Half Moon Bay in the coastal zone.
