An act to amend Section 11100 of the Vehicle Code, relating to
vehicles.

Existing law prohibits a person, with exceptions, from owning or
operating a driving school, or giving driving instruction for
compensation, unless the person has secured a license from the
Department of Motor Vehicles.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to this
law.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 11100 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:
11100. (a) No A person shall
not own or operate a driving school or give driving instruction
for compensation, unless a license therefor has been secured from
the department.
(b) This section does not apply to the ownership or operation of
any a school, or the giving of
instruction, for the driving of motortrucks of three or more axles
which that are more than 6,000 pounds
unladen weight.
