   An act to amend Section 9601 of the Business and Professions Code,
relating to cemeteries.

   SB 1008, as introduced, Padilla. Cemeteries.
   Existing law, the Cemetery Act, provides for the licensure and
regulation of, among others, cemetery brokers and cemetery
salespersons, as defined.
   This bill would make a nonsubstantive, technical change to a
provision of that act.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 9601 of the Business and Professions Code is
amended to read:
   9601.  The definitions in this article  shall  govern the
meaning of terms used in the act except as otherwise provided
expressly or by necessary implication.
