To the Members of the California State Senate:

I am returning Senate Bill 1472 without my signature.

This bill would duplicate existing efforts of the Employment
Development Department by requiring additional marketing of the Work
Sharing Program. This program has already experienced a significant
increase in participation by California employers as a means to
retain an experienced workforce during this severe recession.
Therefore, this bill is unnecessary at this time.
