SUMMARY
This noncontroversial committee bill makes minor changes to laws
governing several healing arts boards under the jurisdiction of
the Department of Consumer Affairs. Specifically, this bill
makes changes to laws governing:
1)The Board of Behavioral Sciences
2)The California Board of Occupational Therapy
3)The Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid
Dispensers Board
4)The California Board of Pharmacy
5)The California State Board of Optometry
6)The Medical Board of California.
FISCAL EFFECT
No direct fiscal impact is created by the provisions of this
bill.
COMMENTS
Rationale . This bill makes several changes to a half-dozen of
the healing arts boards within DCA. The changes include adding
clarity and consistency to licensing laws, deleting obsolete
references, and modifying requirements for license renewal.
