SUMMARY : Urges the Congress of the United States to recognize
the importance of the F-35 aircraft and to support the full
funding of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program. Specifically,
this resolution makes the following legislative findings:

1)The United States Congress is currently reviewing the full
funding of the F-35 Joint Striker Program; and, the United
States has been investing in the production of the F-35 for
more than a decade and will lose the benefits of this
investment if full funding and planned production are not
            continued.

2)The F-35 generates more than 27,000 direct and indirect high
technology, high paying jobs for California; and, the F-35
Joint Strike Fighter Program provides a sustained economic
impact to California of over $6 billion.

3)The F-35 will provide needed support for our nation's
military, will strengthen our international alliances, and
ensure the success of our peacekeeping missions; and, our
investment in the technological superiority of our military
will honor Californians and United States citizens who have
served our nation to protect freedom through military service.
