support of military families and their loved ones who are
defending our country and fighting for the preservation of
freedom for all; and, provides an opportunity for

ANALYSIS : This resolution makes the following
          legislative findings:

1.The Yellow Ribbon America Campaign was founded in
February 2003, as a nonpartisan, grassroots effort to
unite all Americans in directly helping our nation's
military members and their families during wartime; and,

2.Yellow Ribbon America is a proud National Community

            Center's "Heroes to Hometowns" programs.

3.Because of the importance of demonstrating support for

has been designated to publicly show support for these
            individuals.

4.Californians are proud of our troops and their families
and appreciate the great sacrifice they are making to
assure freedom for all; and, ceremonial activities have
been planned to commemorate Yellow Ribbon Week in support
of military families and our troops.
