           SUMMARY

This bill creates the California Interagency Council on Veteran
Services and Programs, with specified membership, to bring
together stakeholders to ensure the state's veterans service
programs follow best practices models and are administered and
          integrated with maximum efficiency.

The council would be required to meet monthly in its first year,
          and quarterly thereafter.

           FISCAL EFFECT

Annual costs likely in the range of $50,000 assuming state time,
office expenses and equipment, and little to no travel.

           COMMENTS

1)Rationale. The state needs to do more and do it better and
more efficiently in terms of serving veterans.

2)Similar legislation , AB 1569 (Committee on Veterans Affairs),
2010, failed to move out of the Senate.
