   AB 899, as introduced, Yamada. Home care services.
   Existing law provides for the licensing and regulation of various
community care facilities by the State Department of Social Services.

   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature regarding
the licensing and regulation of home care organizations.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would license and regulate home care organizations
to protect seniors, people with disabilities, and other consumers who
rely on home care services.
