   An act to amend Section 33534 of the Education Code, relating to
pupil curriculum.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1174, as introduced, Furutani. Curriculum Development and
Supplemental Materials Commission.
   Existing law establishes the Curriculum Development and
Supplemental Materials Commission in state government and requires
the Superintendent of Public Instruction or his representative to
serve as executive secretary to the commission.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 33534 of the Education Code is amended to read:

   33534.  The Superintendent of Public Instruction  ,  or
his  or her  representative  ,  shall serve as
executive secretary to the commission.
