	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1302, as introduced, Williams. Energy: renewable energy
technologies.
   Existing law establishes various programs to encourage the
development of renewable energy technologies.
   This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to establish a program to support emerging renewable
technologies in distributed generation, with specified objectives.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to establish a new program to support emerging renewable
technologies in distributed generation, with the objectives of
reducing peak demand, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing
grid reliability, and encouraging fuel diversity.
