           COMMENTS

1)Rationale . The author contends this bill removes obsolete
portions of the code and describes the bill as cleaning up the
            code.

2)Support . The bill is supported by the California Licensed
            Foresters Association.

3)There is no registered opposition to this bill. The
Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reports that the
bill would entail no state costs but would prefer that the
definition of "cutover land" remain in statute.
