BILL NUMBER: AB 1450
VETOED DATE: 09/30/2012
To the Members of the California State Assembly:
I am returning Assembly Bill 1450 without my signature.
This measure seeks to prevent discrimination against the unemployed
based on their job status by prohibiting employers from stating in
employment ads that applicants must be employed. Unfortunately, as
this measure went through the legislative process it was changed in a
way that could lead to unnecessary confusion.
Sincerely,
Edmund G. Brown Jr.
