	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1458, as amended, Huber Buchanan
. Joint Legislative Retirement Committee.
California Transportation Commission.
Existing law establishes in state government the California
Transportation Commission with specified powers, duties, and

authority to perform its powers, duties, and functions. The bill
would provide that the above-described provisions would become
operative on July 1, 2013, and only if GRP 2 takes effect.

Existing law establishes the Joint Legislative Retirement
Committee to study and review the benefits, programs, actuarial
condition, practices, investments, and procedures of, and all
legislation relating to, the retirement systems for public officers
and employees in this state and the trends and developments in the
field of retirement.
This bill would repeal those provisions.
