Original Committee Reference: BUDGET
SUMMARY : Contains changes necessary to implement the
elimination of the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the
creation of the State Department of State Hospitals (DSH), both
of which were approved through 2012 budget trailer bills.
The Senate amendments delete the Assembly version of this bill,
and instead:
1)Make technical, nonsubstantive changes to various provisions
of law, primarily to delete obsolete references to DMH and
change those references to DSH.
2)Appropriate the sum of $1,000 from the General Fund to the DSH
for administration.
3)Contain an appropriation allowing this bill to take effect
immediately upon enactment.
AS PASSED BY THE ASSEMBLY , this bill expressed the intent of the
Legislature to enact statutory changes relating to the Budget
Act of 2012.
