SUMMARY : Requires a board under the Department of Consumer
Affairs (DCA) to issue an expedited license to the spouse or
domestic partner of a military member on active duty.
The Senate amendments :
1)Delete the provisions authorizing the DCA to issue a temporary
license to the spouse or domestic partner of a military member
on active duty.
2)Require a board under the DCA to issue an expedited license to
the spouse or domestic partner of a military member on active
duty.
AS PASSED BY THE ASSEMBLY , this bill authorized a board under
the DCA to issue a temporary license to the spouse or domestic
partner of a military member on active duty.
FISCAL EFFECT : According to the Senate Appropriations
Committee, pursuant to Senate Rule 28.8, negligible state costs.
COMMENTS : This bill was amended in the Senate and is consistent
with Assembly actions.
