           SUMMARY  :  Requires the California Building Standards Commission 
          (BSC), as part of the next triennial building code cycle that 
          begins on or after January 1, 2013, to adopt standards for press 
          boxes that must provide disability access and exempts press 
          boxes less than 500 feet, as specified from these requirements.  


           The Senate amendments  make technical and clarifying changes. 

           AS PASSED BY THE ASSEMBLY  , this bill required the BSC to adopt, 
          approve, and codify standards for press boxes in stadium 
          bleachers that must provide disability access and exempts press 
          boxes less than 500 feet, as specified.

           FISCAL EFFECT  :  According to the Senate Appropriations 
          Committee, pursuant to Senate Rule 28.8, negligible state costs.

           COMMENTS  :  This bill, as amended in the Senate, is consistent 
          with Assembly actions.
