SUMMARY
This bill:
1)Extends the January 1 deadline to March 1for the Department of
Veterans Affairs (DVA) annual determination and report
regarding the amount of benefits paid to eligible veterans by
the federal government attributable to the assistance of
county veteran service officers (CVSOs).
2)Expands the annual DVA report on CVSO activities to include:
a) The number of veterans and their dependents who came in
contact with a CVSO.
b) The number of veterans and dependents who filed federal
or state claims.
c) The number of veterans and dependents who received
services from the federal government that relieved any
financial obligation of the state or county.
d) The number of homeless veterans and dependents who
received assistance in obtaining federal benefits.

Negligible.
