           SUMMARY  

          This bill repeals the legislative Electronic Funds Task Force 
          and its related functions.

           FISCAL EFFECT 

          Negligible. 

           COMMENTS  

           1)Purpose of this bill  .  The Electronic Funds Task Force is 
            responsible for providing a plan on the development and 
            implementation of a new payment dispersal system using 
            electronic funds transfer technology.  The task force is no 
            longer needed because the plan was completed in 2008.  

           2)Background  .  Per information provided by the Board of 
            Equalization, the task force never produced a report.  The 
            reporting requirement was subsequently repealed by AB 1585 
            (Accountability and Administrative Review), Chapter 7, 
            Statutes of 2010.
