   An act to amend Section 27533 of the Food and Agricultural Code,
relating to eggs.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2378, as introduced, Huber. Eggs: inspection.
   Existing law requires regulations adopted with regard to eggs and
egg products relating to egg shell surveillance inspection be
consistent with any federal standards or procedures promulgated by
the United States Department of Agriculture on that subject.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 27533 of the Food and Agricultural Code is
amended to read:
   27533.  Regulations adopted pursuant to this chapter relating to
egg shell surveillance inspection shall be consistent with 
any   the  federal standards or procedures
promulgated by the United States Department of Agriculture on that
subject.
