   An act to amend Section 811.4 of the Government Code, relating to
the Tort Claims Act.

   AB 2448, as introduced, Harkey. Tort Claims Act: definitions.
   The Tort Claims Act provides for the liability and immunity of a
governmental entity for its acts or omissions that cause harm to
persons and defines a public employee as an employee of a public
entity for these purposes.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 811.4 of the Government Code is amended to
read:
   811.4.  "Public employee" means  an employee of 
 a person employed by  a public entity.
