   An act to amend Section 7 of the Family Code, relating to family
law.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2541, as introduced, Feuer. Family law: cross-references.
   Existing law governs family law proceedings involving marriage,
dissolution of marriage, nullity of marriage, legal separation of the
parties, division of property, child, family, and spousal support,
child custody, adoption, and the parent and child relationship. Under
existing law, if a reference is made to a provision of law, that
reference applies to any amendments and additions made to that
provision of law.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 7 of the Family Code is amended to read:
   7.  Whenever a reference is made to a portion of this code or to
another law, the reference applies to all amendments and additions
regardless of when made  , unless otherwise expressly stated
 .
