SUMMARY
This measure designates several state highway routes in honor of
specified individuals or groups. Specifically, this measure
designates:
1)As the "Deputy Kenneth Fredrick Perrigo Memorial Bridge," the
State Route (SR) 299 bridge over Burney Creek (Shasta County).
2)As the "Officer David F. Mobilio Memorial Highway," the
portion of SR 5 from the Riverside Avenue overcrossing to the
North Bluff overcrossing in the City of Red Bluff (Tehama
County).
3)As the "Gold Star Memorial Bridge," the Brighton Street
overcrossing over SR 20 in the City of Grass Valley (Nevada
County), in honor of Lance Corporal Adam Strain, Lance
Corporal John Lucente, and Corporal Sean A. Stokes, all of
whom were killed in action in Iraq.p
4)As the "Captain Mark Ratledge Memorial Highway," the portion
of SR 5 from the Bowman Road overcrossing to the northbound
Main Street on-ramp in Cottonwood (Shasta County).
5)As the "La Habra Police Office Michael Anthony Osornio
Memorial Highway," a portion of SR 39 on Beach Boulevard from
the south city limit of La Habra to Whittier Boulevard (Orange
County).

appropriate signs; sign costs are covered by donations.
COMMENTS
Purpose . Deputy Perrigo, of the Shasta County Sheriff's Office,
was shot and killed in the line of duty on October 12, 1991.
Officer Mobilio, of the Red Bluff Police Department, was shot
and killed on November 19, 2002. Captain Ratledge, of the
Cottonwood Fire Department, was stuck and killed by an
out-of-control vehicle on February 29, 2012 while working the
scene of another accident. Officer Osornio, of the La Habra
Police Department, was killed on October 31, 1994 when his
patrol vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
