   An act to amend Section 22406 of the Vehicle Code, relating to
vehicles.

   SB 333, as introduced, La Malfa. Vehicles: speed limits.
   Existing law prohibits a person from driving specified vehicles,
including a motortruck or truck tractor having 3 or more axles, or
any motortruck or truck tractor drawing any other vehicle, on a
highway at a speed in excess of 55 miles per hour.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 22406 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:
   22406.   No   A  person  may
  shall not  drive any of the following vehicles on
a highway at a speed in excess of 55 miles per hour:
   (a) A motortruck or truck tractor having three or more axles or
any motortruck or truck tractor drawing any other vehicle.
   (b) A passenger vehicle or bus drawing any other vehicle.
   (c) A schoolbus transporting any school pupil.
   (d) A farm labor vehicle when transporting passengers.
   (e) A vehicle transporting explosives.
   (f) A trailer bus, as defined in Section 636.
