	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 538, as introduced, Price. Healing arts.
   Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of healing
arts licensees by boards within the Department of Consumer Affairs.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would make substantive changes to those healing arts
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would make substantive changes to the healing arts
provisions described in Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) of
the Business and Professions Code.
