	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 546, as introduced, Correa. Disabled veterans: families and
dependents: employment opportunities.
   Existing law establishes various state benefits for veterans.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would extend employment opportunities to families
and dependents of veterans who are not able to work due to service
connected disabilities.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would extend employment opportunities to families
and dependents of veterans who are not able to work due to service
connected disabilities.
