An act to amend Section 36000 of the Vehicle Code, relating to
vehicles.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 605, as introduced, Berryhill. Vehicles: implements of
husbandry.
Existing law regulates implements of husbandry. Existing law
defines an "implement of husbandry" as a vehicle that is used
exclusively in the conduct of agricultural operations, with certain
exceptions.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
definition.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 36000 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:
36000. An (a) An
"implement of husbandry" is a vehicle which
that is used exclusively in the conduct of agricultural
operations.
An
(b) An implement of husbandry
does not include a vehicle if its existing design is primarily for
the transportation of persons or property on a highway, unless
specifically designated as such by some other provision of this code.
