           SUMMARY  

          This bill requires a credentialed educator to provide input 
          relating to state prison inmates' vocational/education 
          placement, including, but not limited to, interviewing inmates, 
          verifying inmate education records and test scores, or being 
          present at meetings relating to vocational/education placement.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor absorbable costs, as this requirement essentially reflects 
          current practice.

           COMMENTS  

           Rationale  . The author's intent is to codify the participation of 
          educators in inmate vocational/education programing 
          determinations to ensure a professional and individualized 
          assessment is performed.
