   An act to amend Section 5002.4 of the Public Resources Code,
relating to state parks.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 1511, as introduced, Evans. State parks: general plan:
submission to the Legislature.
   Existing law vests with the Department of Parks and Recreation
control of the state park system. Existing law requires the
department to furnish a copy of the general plan for any unit of the
state park system for which a plan has been prepared to any Member of
the Legislature, upon request.
   This bill would also require the department to furnish a copy of
the general plan for any unit of the state park system for which a
plan has been prepared to the Assembly Committee on Water, Parks and
Wildlife and to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water.

   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 5002.4 of the Public Resources Code is amended
to read:
   5002.4.  The department shall furnish a copy of the general plan
for any unit of the state park system for which a plan has been
prepared to any Member of the Legislature, upon request  , and to
the Assembly Committee on Water, Parks and Wildlife and the Senate
Committee on Natural Resources and Water  .
