DIGEST : This resolution names a portion of State Highway
Route (SR) 99 in Sutter County as the California Small Business
Owners Highway.
ANALYSIS : This resolution designates the portion of SR 99
that runs between Hull Road and Stewart Road in Sutter County as
the California Small Businesses Highway. This resolution
further requests that the Department of Transportation erect
appropriate signs upon receiving donations from non-state
sources to cover the costs.

According to the author's office, this resolution highlights the
significant role California's small business owners play in the
state's economy and local communities. As California continues
to move forward after experiencing a severe economic recession,
the significant number of small business owners within the state
will play a critical role in the state's economic recovery.
California's small businesses provide a variety of imperative
services, employ a significant number of the state's population,
and are the cornerstone in many communities.
