           SUMMARY  

          This measure:

          1)Designates, as the "Deputy Sheriff Merrit W. Deeds Memorial  
            Highway," the portion of State Route 1 at Jenner and State  
            Route 116 and Austin Creek Road in Sonoma County.

          2)Designates, as the "Deputy Sheriff Ricky Del Fiorentino  
            Memorial Highway," the portion of State Route 1 between  
            milepost marker 62.0 southbound and milepost marker 65.0  
            northbound in Mendocino County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . This measure honors Deputy Sheriff Deeds, who was shot  
          and killed in the line of duty on August 23, 1975, and Deputy  
          Sheriff Del Fiorentino, who was killed in the line of duty on  
          March 19, 2014.
