           SUMMARY  

          This bill updates statutes related to preserving testimony in  
          cases involving sex offenses and minor victims, to include any  
          means of video-recording that complies with preservation  
          requirements, rather than simply referring to "videotape." 

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Negligible. 

           COMMENTS  

           1)Rationale  . The intent of the author and the sponsor, the  
            Alameda County D.A. is simply to update the Penal Code statute  
            to account for changes in technology. 

           2)There is no known opposition  .
