SUMMARY : Authorizes the Director of the Department of General
Services to dispose of seven surplus state properties.
The Senate amendments :
1)Add four more properties to the surplus property list, which
contained three parcels when this bill was passed by the
Assembly.
2)Make technical and clarifying changes.
FISCAL EFFECT : According to the Senate Appropriations
Committee, pursuant to Senate Rule 28.8, negligible state costs.
COMMENTS : The Senate amendments add four more parcels to the
surplus property list authorized by this bill. These parcels
consist of a former laboratory building owned by the Department
of Public Health, a rural property owned by the Department of
Corrections and Rehabilitation, and two former field offices of
the California Highway Patrol.
The Senate amendments also clarify how proceeds from the
disposition of a parcel in this bill that contains federal and
state equity are to be distributed.
