An act to amend Section 3951 of the Food and Agricultural Code, relating to district agricultural association.

AB 2246, as introduced, Olsen. District agricultural associations: formation.

Existing law divides the state into specified agricultural districts. Existing law authorizes 50 or more persons who are residents of a district to form a district agricultural association for specified purposes, including holding fairs, expositions, and exhibitions for the purpose of exhibiting all of the industries and industrial enterprises, resources, and products of every kind or nature of the state.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the provisions authorizing the formation of district agricultural associations.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 3951 of the Food and Agricultural Code
2 is amended to read:

Fifty or more persons, who are residents of a district,
4may form an association to be known as and designated as the
5____ District Agricultural Association, for the following purposes:

2of exhibiting all of the industries and industrial enterprises,
3resourcesbegin insert,end insert and products of every kind or nature of the statebegin delete with a

6(b) Constructing, maintaining, and operating recreational and
7cultural facilities of general public interest.
