           SENATE VOTE  :   33-0
           
          SUBJECT  :   California Heroes Month.

           SUMMARY  :   Recognizes September 2014 and each following  
          September as California Heroes Month.  Specifically,  this  
          resolution  makes the following legislative findings:

          1)Heroes hold concern for other people in need, a concern to  
            defend moral cause, knowing there is a personal risk and  
            acting without expectation of reward.

          2)California Heroes Month, wherever in the nation it is  
            established, is to honor, recognize, and pay homage to those  
            acts of kindness and selfless courage by individuals, groups,  
            organizations, institutions, small businesses, or  
            corporations.

          3)California Heroes Month is an opportunity for the residents of  
            California to educate the public on the importance of  
            selflessly giving and recognizing those local conventional,  
            nonconventional, and unsung heroes within each community.
