(1) Existing law authorizes the Board of State and Community Corrections or the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, a participating county, as defined, and the State Public Works Board to acquire, design, and construct an adult local justice facility, as defined. Existing law authorizes the State Public Works Board to issue up to $500,000,000 in revenue bonds, notes, or bond anticipation notes to finance the acquisition, design, and construction of the approved adult local criminal justice facilities and establishes the procedures for approving and funding these projects. Existing law includes duplicative provisions of this authorization.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

Chapter 26 of the Statutes of 2014,

The sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) is hereby
6appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of State and
7Community Corrections for purposes of administering the bond
8financing program established pursuant to Chapter 3.131
9(commencing with Section 15820.93) of Part 10b of Division 3 of
10Title 2 of the Government Code, as added by Section 4 of Chapter
1137 of the Statutes of 2014.
This act is a bill providing for appropriations related
13to the Budget Bill within the meaning of subdivision (e) of Section
1412 of Article IV of the California Constitution, has been identified
15as related to the budget in the Budget Bill, and shall take effect
16immediately.
It is the intent of the Legislature to enact statutory
18changes relating to the Budget Act of 2014.
