Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, as one of the segments of public postsecondary education in this state. Existing law requires members of the board of governors to be selected from outstanding lay citizens of California who have a strong interest in the further development and improvement of the public community colleges.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the provision relating to the selection of members of the board of governors.

Section 71002 of the Education Code is amended
