   An act to amend Section 32793 of the Food and Agricultural Code,
relating to milk products.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1830, as introduced, Gallagher. Milk production: reporting
statistics.
   Existing law, the Milk and Milk Products Act of 1947, requires
market milk distributors and persons engaged in operating a milk
products plant or a plant in which products resembling milk products
are manufactured to transmit to the Secretary of Food and Agriculture
a full and accurate report of the amount of milk and milk products
and products resembling milk products that the person produced,
purchased, manufactured, or distributed during the preceding month.
   This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 32793 of the Food and Agricultural Code is
amended to read:
   32793.  The  director   secretary  shall
provide blanks for reporting statistics on milk and milk products
and on products resembling milk products. He  or she  shall,
on or before the first of each month, cause to be mailed to each
person  that   who  is engaged in operating
 any   a  milk products  plant,
any   plant or a  plant in which products
resembling milk products are manufactured, and to each market milk
 distributor such   distributor, the 
number of the blanks as may be necessary. Each person  that
  who  is engaged in operating  any such
plant,   a plant  or  that  
who  is a market milk distributor shall, within 30 days after
the blank is mailed to  him   him, or her 
, transmit to the  director   secretary  a
full and accurate report of the amount of milk and milk products and
products resembling milk products  which   that
 he  or she  produced, purchased, 
manufactured   manufactured,  or distributed during
the preceding month.
