   An act to amend Section 671 of the Civil Code, relating to
property.

   SB 1351, as introduced, De León. Property ownership.
   Existing statutory law and the California Constitution provide for
equal property rights for both citizens and noncitizens.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to the
statutory provision.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 671 of the Civil Code is amended to read:

     Section Six Hundred and Seventy-one. 
    671.   Any person, whether citizen or  alien,
  noncitizen,  may take, hold, and dispose of
property, real or personal, within this  State.
